How time flies so quickly, my little girl just turned 5 years old last November 6. We just had simple celebrations at school and home. But even though our celebrations were really simple, I could not stop myself thinking of a nice theme for her birthday.
For this year’s theme, I chose Maleficent, but I decided to go for the cartoon one to make it a little charming despite of her villain image. I designed the invitation, cake toppers and her T-shirts.
I decided to order cupcakes instead of a fondant cake or typical birthday cake for a change. I learned that the aunt of my friend is now into baking and accepting orders for customized cakes. I asked her to bake 24 pieces of purple cupcakes ala Maleficent. Each cupcake without a topper cost 35 pesos, and it tastes good with just enough sweetness. I also paid 300 for the cupcake tower, but it is reusable.
We prepared typical Pinoy’s party food like pansit bihon, sweet spaghetti, puto, lumpiang shanghai among others.
We love to celebrate life and we are very grateful to God for giving her another year. Until her next birthday!
