We had a chance to witness the colorful event of Lucban, Quezon, the PAHIYAS Festival. It was said to be the most colorful festival in the Philippines. Pahiyas Festival happens every summer, this is to end all Fiestas. The Patron Saint of the event  is San Isidro Labrador.

Yesterday, the old town of Lucban was overpopulated with so many tourists, most of them wanted to take photos of the colorful kiping, the most traditional and certainly the most attractive décor, which are adorn and strung together to form all sorts of shapes, from chandelier called “ARANGYA”.   There were parade of booths made of agricultural products of Lucban.  Aside from booth, there was this PARIKITAN, a fashion collection made from some native products of Lucban such as abaniko, banig, atbp.

What we really enjoyed was the TIYANGGE SA LUCBAN, this is an agro-industrial fair showcasing Lucban’s products. This fair featured foods native to the town like our ultimate favorite the delicious longganisang Lucban, puto seko, broas, pansit hab-hab and other delicacies and handicrafts such as buri or buntal hats, bags and others.

We love Pahiyas Festival!
