Beauty, uniqueness and elegance, these are the qualities of the modern Filipina woman, qualities that altogether create a culture. Vera Coulture.

Vera Coulture is a brand of wooden bags, manufactured locally, handcrafted and hand-painted.

The name was a partnered effort of Rhona Vera Cruz and Rachel Donaire, owners of the Vera Coulture. Vera is the surname of Rhona, while Coulture was an idea of Rachel, wife of the boxing champ, Nonito Donaire Jr., a combined word of couture and culture.

The word “coulture” came to Rachel’s dreams one night depicting the two strong words that personify the line:

Couture: The business of designing, making, and selling highly fashionable, usually custom-made for women.

Culture: This is the thing that separates us from the rest of the world – our colorful and lively culture that makes us distinctly Filipino.

Today, the brand has ventured on foreign markets like the UK, Asia, and the Middle East, specifically Dubai, Qatar, and Bahrain. Vera Coulture opened its branch here in Manila at the Unit C W Tower, 39th St North Road Triangle Drive, Fort Bonifacio Global City.
